Janet Lucille Stork, age 82, passed away on Tuesday January 23, 2024 at Margaret Mary Hospital. She was born on January 9, 1942 the daughter of Thomas and Vesta (Cole) Wilkening.
She was a graduate of Osgood High School Class of 1960. Janet would meet and marry Donnie Stork on November 9, 1963. They recently celebrated their 60th anniversary last fall. They were a team and worked together years farming here in Osgood. Janet could often be seen driving the grain truck to the city to sell the crops.
Janet enjoyed reading, watching a good murder mystery, and had even had her own motorcycle. Donnie and she enjoyed taking the grandkids on trips. She was a long member of the Osgood United Methodist Church, helping with Bible School every summer. Janet had served as the Osgood town Clerk Treasure and worked in accounting for Billman Trucking.
She will be missed by husband Donnie Stork, daughter Beth Linville, grandson Brett (Alex) Linville, granddaughter Kayla (Logan) Linville, brother Charles Wilkening, and sister-in-law’s Rita Wilkening and Ina Stork. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother David, and brother in law Harold “Sonny” Stork, and great grandson Mitchell Powers.
Visitation will be held on Saturday January 27, 2024 from 10 am. -12 pm., with funeral services being held at 12 pm., all at Neal’s Funeral Home in Osgood. Online condolences can be placed at Nealsfuneralhome.net
