Janet E. Hill, of Lawrenceburg, was born on March 4, 1929 in Cincinnati, Ohio a daughter to John E. and Minnie Minneman Molter. She was baptized and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church at Klemmes Corner. After graduating high school she furthered her education in Music at Capitol University and later used that education playing the organ at several area churches. She married Harris (Tom) Hill on February 5, 1949 at St. John Lutheran Church-Hubbells Corner and he preceded her in death on December 14, 2014. Janet stayed busy as a mother and outside of the home; she worked for Central Trust Bank, was a professional seamstress for Glenmore Dry Cleaners and also worked at the IRS. She enjoyed music and sewing, traveling, and spending time with her family. On Saturday, February 23, 2019 at the age of 89, she passed away at Ridgewood Health Campus in Lawrenceburg.
Those surviving who will cherish Janet’s memory include her children, Deborah (Larry) Knigga of Lawrenceburg, and Michael (Virginia) Hill of Cleves, OH; six grandchildren, Christopher (Leslie) Knigga, Margaret (William) Daugherty, Elizabeth (Wayne) Whelpdale, Bradley (Autumn) Hill, Douglas (Amanda) Hill, and Gregory (Dana) Hill; 12 great-grandchildren, and a brother-in-law, Daniel J. Hill of San Diego, CA. Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two great-grandchildren.
Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, March 2, 2019 at St. John Lutheran Church – Hubbells Corner from 10 until time of service at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Evangelical Union Cemetery, adjacent to the church.
