The Jac-Cen-Del girls varsity basketball team won their first Sectional Championship in three years Saturday night, defeating South Decatur 43-34 in the 1A Sectional Final at Southwestern Shelby.
The win gives Coach Scott Smith of Jac-Cen-Del his 400th career win.
Leading the Lady Eagles in scoring was Julia Meyer with 23 points.
South Decatur’s top scorer was Kiley Best with 14.
Jac-Cen-Del will play Bethesda Christian at 1p in Regional 15 at Southwestern Shelby next Saturday.
