On Monday night, the visiting Jac-Cen-Del Eagles scored 2 in the first and 3 in the second en route to a 7-1 ORVC conference victory over the host Raiders.
For South Ripley, freshman Mason McNew started, pitching 5 innings but suffered the loss in allowing 8 hits and 4 earned runs. Ryan Gorrell pitched the last two innings.
Offensively, Gorrell paced the team with 2 hits in 4 at-bats, while Braxton Wilson, Landon Adams, and Trent Smith also added singles. Smith had South Ripley’s only RBI.
