Jac-Cen-Del uses big run to defeat South Ripley and clinch share of ORVC Championship

The Jac-Cen-Del Eagles clinched a share of the ORVC Championship Friday night, defeating South Ripley 49-40 in the final game of the regular season.

South Ripley got up by 9 in the 3rd quarter, but Jac-Cen-Del would storm back and take the lead with a 17-0 run that started in the 3rd and continued into the 4th quarter.

Later in the 4th, the Raiders got the deficit down to one before the Eagles went on and 8-0 run to seal the game.

Jac-Cen-Del was led by Devin Grieshop, with 19 points. Cole Henry and Gavin Binion were the leading scorers for South Ripley with 12 points each.

Jac-Cen-Del ends the regular season 14-9 overall and 5-1 in the ORVC. The Eagles will play Southwestern Shelby in the opening round of Class 1A Sectional 60 at Edinburgh on Wednesday night at 6.

South Ripley finishes their regular season 11-12 overall and 4-2 in the ORVC. South Ripley is the host for Class 2A Sectional 45. They will take on North Decatur in the semi-final round on Friday night at 6.
