ISP needs help identifying man found dead near Osgood

Versailles, IN — Detectives from the Indiana State Police Versailles Post are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man who was found dead in rural Ripley County yesterday.

Troopers were called to a location west of Osgood shortly after 10 am Tuesday after the man’s body was found.

At this point, the identity of the man remains a mystery and the cause of death is not known. The information available right now is that the individual is a white male in his 30s to mid-40s, approximately 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighing 160 pounds, with brown hair, brown eyes, and a beard. The man had some distinct tattoos that are being shared with the hopes that someone recognizes the tattoos and can assist in identifying the person (pictured).

An autopsy will be conducted today to determine a cause of death and to obtain more information to assist in identifying the man.
