Irene Kunz, 87, of Greensburg, passed away on March 21, 2016, at the Decatur County Memorial Hospital. She was born on June 2, 1928 in Decatur County, the daughter of Ralph and Mayme Koenigkramer Miller. Irene married Herschel L. Kunz on January 12, 1949 and he preceded her in death on June 29, 2012. Irene was a farmer’s wife. She was very active volunteering at the St. John’s Lutheran Church of Napoleon: Bible School, Lutheran Hills Church Camp, Sunday school teacher, WELCA, and the church council.
Survivors include: Sons- Kenneth (Patty) Kunz, Larry (Pam) Kunz, James (Ann) Kunz, and Richard (Mary Jane) Kunz; Grandchildren- Tracy (Steve) Webb, Tonya (Mike) Muckerheide, Dawn (Scott) Krekeler, Christy (Jason) Ruzga, Rebecca (Kenny) Tebbe, Matthew (Allison) Kunz, and Michael (Marci) Kunz; 14 Great Grandchildren; and 1 Great Great Grandchild; Sisters- Ilene Schwier and Eleanor (Bill) Huey; Sister in law- Mary Jo Miller. She was preceded in death by her: Parents; Husband; and Brothers- Mervin Miller and Delbert Miller.
A visitation for family and friends will be held at the Gilliland-Howe Funeral Home in Greensburg, IN on Thursday, March 24, 2016 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Funeral Services will be held at the St. John’s Lutheran Church in Napoleon on Friday, March 25, 2016 at 10:00 am with visitation one hour prior. The Rev. Jack Dixon will be officiating.
