INDOT Southeast issues full call-out ahead of winter weather

Southeastern, IN — The Indiana Department of Transportation Southeast District issued a full call-out of plow trucks on Monday evening.

Plow drivers began reporting late Monday afternoon to start monitoring and treating state roads. Shift changes will take place around midnight and additional crews will work through at least noon according to officials.

Bloomington Sub District: 28 trucks (full call-out)
Columbus Sub District: 28 trucks (full call-out)
Madison Sub District: 28 trucks (full call-out)
Aurora Sub District: 28 trucks (full call-out)
Falls City Sub District: 35 trucks (full call-out)

Although the steadiest snow is tapering off, and main roads are getting cleared, many roads remain snow-covered and slick conditions. Flurries and patchy very light freezing drizzle will be possible today.

If you must be on the roads, exercise caution and allow plenty of time to reach your destination.
