(Statehouse) – Indiana Senate Democrats are recruiting interns for the 2024 legislative session.
Applications are now open and can be found on the Caucus’ official website.
“This is a great opportunity for young Hoosiers looking to get involved in state government and learn more about the legislative process. Many of our interns go on to become staff or use this internship as an ingress into other careers; this is the perfect position for someone hoping for a future in government,” said Senate Democratic Leader Greg Taylor (D-Indianapolis).
The Senate Democratic Internship is open to students in their sophomore year of college and above.
It runs from the last week in December through March, with opportunities for some interns to stay on longer. The internship also offers the following benefits:
- Bi-weekly stipend of $900
- Networking opportunities
- Academic credit
- Professional development
“Interns are integral to the success of a legislative session, and I urge students who are interested in understanding more about the legislative process, making connections, and doing meaningful work to apply for our internship,” Taylor added.
