Evelyn loved the spring and summer months when she could tend to her garden, flowers and mowing her lawn. She enjoyed time cooking her famous chicken and dumplings and baking sugar cookies with her grandchildren and great grandchildren and was well known for her blackberry custard pies, which were a highlight at family holidays. Evelyn was a huge fan of East Central High School sports with football being her favorite. She attended every game she possibly could with her brother Arnie and his wife Sharon. She had her “spot”on the bleachers, which she reserved weekly by putting down a blanket days prior to any home game. Neither rain nor cold weather would keep her away from seeing “her boys” play.
