(Greensburg, IN) – The Greensburg Fire Department celebrated honor and achievement at its Annual Recognition Ceremony Thursday night at City Hall.
The department presented promotions and departmental awards to recognize outstanding service.
John Hammersmith was named recipient of the Firefighter of the Year Award.
Among those recognized after being promoted were Assistant Chief David Eckstein; Captain Jarrod Prentice; and firefighters Jonathan Phillips and Greg Beagle.
Inspector Alan Campbell and Probationary Firefighter Jake Hawkins were recognized for becoming certified Drone Pilots.
The department also recognized the retirements of two assistant chiefs: David Roszell and Brian Wenning.
