Hillcrest restaurant goes public

Batesville, In. — Citing the need to change their business model, the members of the Hillcrest Country Club have elected to open the restaurant to the public. The new approach is expected to lower mandatory monthly purchase amounts, making membership more attractive. The golf course will remain private.

The operation will be managed by Izzy’s Restaurant owned by Adam Israel and Bill Gardner. The current staff of the Big Four will join the new operation. Any valid Big Four gift certificate will be honored.

The restaurant is expected to open by the middle of February and will serve breakfast, lunch and dinner seven days a week.
