High-Speed Chase Ends in Arrest

(Greensburg, IN) – A man was arrested following a multi-agency high-speed police pursuit on I-74 in Greensburg early Friday morning.

Greensburg Police say Officer Dillan Able was patrolling the interstate near the 134 mile marker around 1:30 a.m. when he clocked a vehicle exceeding the posted speed limit.

He stopped the car driven by 21-year-old Eric Figueroa of Cincinnati.

Police say, as Able approached the car, Figueroa took off and led officers in a pursuit that reached speeds up to 115 miles per hour along westbound I-74.

Several other agencies assisted in the chase and deployment of tire deflation devices.

Figueroa’s vehicle became disabled and stopped at the 101 mile market exit in Shelby County.
