Herman “Bob” Vinup, age 83 of Batesville, IN died Sunday, March 26, 2017 at his home in Batesville.
Born on April 2, 1933 in Rising Sun, IN he was the son of Edward & Beulah (Spillman) Vinup.
He married Katherine Brewer on Nov. 19, 1982 at the New Trenton Baptist Church where he was a member. He retired from Superior Chevrolet on Spring Grove Ave. as an Auto Body Tech. Then, after that, he worked 11 years at Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, TN.
He is survived by his wife Katherine, daughter Denise K., stepsons Greg (Terry), Bob & Chris (Monica) Hooten, grandson Andrew Grose, Step Grandsons Bryan, Adam, Alexander, & Fletcher Hooten, great grandchildren Lydia & Henry Grose, step great grandson Weston Hooten, and his brother Paul Vinup. He is preceded in death by his parents and sister Carolyn Euriech.
Bob had a strong faith in God and read his bible daily. He was also a man whom knew how to do many things. He did all the woodwork in their home. He enjoyed being outdoors in his garden and doing yard work. He enjoyed going to the Smoky Mountains, and having coffee, and very much being with his family and will be missed very much.
Visitation will be Wednesday, March 29, 2017 from 11am to 1pm followed by funeral services at 1pm at Meyers Funeral Home with Rev. David Johnston officiating.
