(Southeastern IN) – The National Association of Letter Carriers’ (NALC) encourage you to Stamp Out Hunger during their annual food drive tomorrow (Saturday).
Letter carriers here and across the country will collect donations of non-perishable food items to benefit local food pantries.
Leave your donation of non-perishable food in a bag near your mailbox, and your letter carrier will do the rest.
All food collected is sorted and delivered to area food pantries to help those experiencing food insecurity.
Batesville Postmaster Jason Hedges says letter carriers in the 47006 zip code will collect items through 5 p.m. tomorrow, with donations going to the Batesville Food Pantry on County Line Road.
You can also drop off donated food items into receptacles set up in the Batesville Post Office lobby today and tomorrow.
Since launching in 1993, the NALC’s annual Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive has grown into the nation’s largest one-day food drive, helping to fill the shelves of food banks and pantries in cities and towns throughout the United States.
