A heat advisory that plagued the entire listening area over the weekend has been extended. The National Weather Service says it will remain in effect through 8 p.m. on Wednesday with index values reaching up to 105 degrees. Heat index numbers soared into triple digits late last week with regular temperatures sitting in the 90s. A cool down is expected late this work week as expected highs will trickle down into the 70’s with lows in the 50’s.
