H.S. track recaps from April 8 and 9

The following are high school track updates from Friday, April 8 and Saturday, April 9.  There may be updates, so please check back.

East Central Track and Field competed at the Division 1 Coaches Classic at Ross High School in Ohio.  The Lady Trojans won scoring 104 points.  Oak Hills was second with 71.  The Trojan boys took fourth with 77-1/2 points.  Elder was the champ with 113.

Top three finishers for the EC ladies included:

  • Hope Fox third in the 300 hurdles (49.48) and second in the long jump.
  • Anna Graff third in the 100 dash (13.52).
  • Rachel Campbell second in the 800 run (2:27.24).
  • Emma Ravenna third in the shot put (32-4.50).
  • Ellie Hill first in the high jump (4-10).
  • Sarah Albrinck first in the pole vault (8-6) and Emma Wilhelm second in the same event (8-0).
  • And the EC girls 4×100 relay was first (51.59), the 4×400 was second (4:17.17) and the 4×800 relay took third (10:27.90).

Top three finishers for the EC boys included:

  • Tyler Carr third in the 200 dash (23.80).
  • Leo Maxwell first in both the shot put (55-9) and discus (167-8).
    Jack Rinear first in the long jump (19-8.75).
  • And the EC boys 4×100 relay was second (45.55) while the 4×400 was third (3:42.55).
