H.S. girls tennis recaps from Wednesday, April 27

The following are high school girls tennis recaps from Wednesday, April 27.  There may be updates, so please check back.

Franklin County was a 3-2 winner at Batesville.

The Wildcats scored points in both doubles matches: Kaylin Knapp with Grace Roth and Chloe Cowen with Regan Barker.  The third point came from Nicole Mears at second singles.  Batesville varsity victories were carded by Summer Ratcliffe and Annie Negovetich at first and third singles respectively.

JV wins for Franklin County were collected by the tandem of Vivian Silas and Lillian Ralph and two in singles from Halee Barker.  Batesville reserve vics came from Jada Day and the duo of Kate Bauer and Gabrielle Elston.

  • 2 Singles- Nicole Mears (FC) def. (BA) 6-2, 6-0
  • 3 Singles- Annie Negovetich (BA) def. Lola Mann (FC) 6-4, 6-2
  • 1 Doubles- Grace Roth/Kaylin Knapp (FC) def. Cayman Werner/Laney Walsman (BA) 4-6, 6-2, 6-3
  • 2 Doubles- Chloe Cowen/Regan Barker (FC) def. (BA) 6-2, 6-3
  • JV doubles- Vivian Silas/Lillian Ralph (FC) won 7-5
  • JV singles- Halee Barker (FC) won 6-2 in two separate matches
  • JV singles- Jada Day (BA)
  • JV doubles- Kate Bauer/Gabrielle Elston (BA)
