H.S. girls tennis recaps from Tuesday, May 10

The following are high school girls tennis recaps from Tuesday, May 10.  There may be updates, so please check back.

Franklin County bested Milan 4-1.

Kacie Williams (6-2. 7-5) and Nicole Mears (6-1, 6-1) picked up wins in singles play for the Cats.  Their doubles teams of Grace Roth with Kaylin Knapp (6-1, 7-5) and Chloe Cowen with Regan Barker (6-4, 6-2) also won.

In JV action for the Brookville ladies, Katherine Apsley (8-1) and the duos of Vivian Silas with Halee Barker (8-3) and Shelby Rosenberger with Macie Fohl (8-2) were victorious.

Rushville was a 5-0 winner against South Dearborn.

Capturing singles victories for the Lions were Audrey Gulley (6-3, 6-0), Olivia Yager (6-3, 6-0) and Jin Calaf (6-1, 6-1).  Doubles wins were booked by Cora Emory with Isabella Wilson (6-0, 6-0) and Mallory McDaniel with Janne Vogel (6-2, 6-1).

JV wins for Rushville came via Brooklyn Newbold (6-1), Jade Edwards (6-0) and the duo of Matilde Volpi and Morgan Beard (6-0).

The Knights Sportsmanship Award went to Vex Hughes and Jessica Bloebaum earned the Toughness Award.
