H.S. baseball recaps from Thursday, April 28

The following are high school baseball recaps from Thursday, April 28.  All games are varsity unless noted otherwise.  There may be updates, so please check back.

Batesville picked up a 3-0 win at Greensburg.

For the Bulldogs, Max Baumer had a trio of singles. Charlie Schebler and Zach Wade both singled and doubled while Travis Lecher, William Meer and Wade each batted in a run. Schebler pitched six innings for the win with seven strikeouts against two walks. Will Jaisle got the final three outs for a save.

Of Greensburg’s four hits, Gavin Owens and Nate Murray doubled.

North Decatur was a 10-4 victor against Tri.

Of the Chargers 15 hits, Reid Messer and Zander Jones both had three while Ty Litmer, Tyler Field and Braden Hancock had two each.  Jacob Mirick pitched a complete game for the win fanning 10 and walking two.

Milan had another seventh inning victory for the second time in as many games. This time the Indians defeated Jac-Cen-Del 3-2 by scoring twice in the final frame.

Milan’s Caiden Yorn had three hits and Quenten Strassell had two. Strassell also got the win pitching in relief. Jerimiah Johnson and Dylan Thomas both drove in a run.

Brady Borgman had two hits and an RBI for the Eagles. Austin Bowling batted in the other run. Landon Comer collected two hits and was also the pitcher of record.
