The following are high school baseball recaps from Saturday, April 23. All games are varsity unless noted otherwise. There may be updates, so please check back.
East Central split a double header with Jennings County. The first game went to the Trojans 9-7.
Luke Moorman led the charge with a single, double and dinger and four RBI. Andrew Roy had a couple of knocks with a ribbie. Eli Aston, Brayden Rouse and Sam Huston all batted in a run as well.
JenCo won the second game 11-5. Rouse and Moorman both had two hits. Rouse had an RBI. Roy drove in a pair of runs and doubled while Huston and Luke Vogelgesang each plated a run.

Connersville also split a double header with Anderson. The Spartans took the opener 6-4 in eight innings.
Brayden Lykins hit the go ahead double in the eighth and also singled with an RBI. Gavin Pearson had a three-hit game while Gavin Jones knocked in a run. Lykins pitched seven innings for the win and Pearson threw the final frame to get the save.
CHS lost the second game of the twin bill 8-2. Braxton Myers had two of the Spartans five hits. Brayden Lykins and Jones each had a ribbie.

After falling to Ryle Friday, 6-1, in the opening game of the Doc Morris Invitational in Beechwood, KY, Batesville came back Saturday and defeated Walton-Verona 5-3 in the second game.
For BHS, Charlie Schebler and Max Baumer both had two hits and a solo home run. Zach Wade and William Meer both singled twice. William Meer and Jacob Meer each plated a run. Will Habig pitched 3-2/3 innings for the victory with four strikeouts and one walk.

Greensburg topped North Decatur 3-0.
Grayson Newhart, Austin Adams and Joey Everroad plated a run each for the Pirates. Adams and Everroad both hit a solo shot. Lance Coy tossed a four hitter with 13 strikeouts and no walks.
Reid Messer had two of the hits for the Chargers. Jake Mirick struck out 10 and walked two in the loss. He also doubled at the plate.

Shawe downed Crothersville 15-1.
Hunter Kennett led the Hilltoppers with three hits and an RBI. Wyatt Nichter and Philip Kahn both had two hits. Kahn, Tyler Hill and Christina Whitham all collect two ribbies. Jacob Hertz struck out 12 and walked one from the bump. Hertz also had a run batted in.

South Dearborn pitchers Adam Kunkel and Clay Gentry combined to no hit Switzerland County 12-0. Kunkel tossed four frames and Gentry threw two. They combined for 12 strikeouts.
Reese Willoughby had three hits with a double for SD. Dylan Wynn and Drew Probst both had two singles.

Oldenburg defeated Jac-Cen-Del 8-1.
Nick Folop, Jacob Hoff and Frank Moorman all had two hits for the Twisters. Jacob Stenger pitched five innings for the victory and struck out six.
Devin Grieshop had a pair of hits for the Eagles.
