H.S. baseball recaps from Friday, May 13

The following are high school baseball recaps from Friday, May 13.  All games are varsity unless noted otherwise.  There may be updates, so please check back.

Milan edged Jac-Cen-Del 6-5 on a walk-off single by MJ Hartman.

The Indians got two hits each from Holden Acra and Jeremiah Johnson.  Acra drove in two runs.  Johnson, Quenten Strassell, Caiden Yorn and Hartman had one RBI apiece.

Jac-Cen-Del’s Landon Comer had two hits and two RBI.  Justin Swinney also batted in a pair of runs and doubled.

Rising Sun beat Shawe 6-1.

Damon Carrigan and Jonathan Jimenez both had a hit and two RBI for the Shiners.

Hunter Kennett had a pair of singles for the Toppers.  Teammate Philip Kahn knocked in the team’s only run.

Batesville’s C-team downed Franklin County 12-2.

The Bulldogs Ethan Lacey, Alex Krekeler and Carson Schneider all had two hits. Mason Jones was the winning pitcher with eight strikeouts against one walk.

Connersville tied New Castle 4-4 in 11 innings.  The Spartans Chance Bentley evened the score with a run-scoring triple in the top of the seventh.   Bentley was the only CHS player to have two hits in the contest.

Brayden Pearson and Kolton DeBoard combined to pitch 10 innings of relief allowing just one run and striking out nine.
