COLUMBUS, IN — A Greensburg High School student took 1st place in Indiana’s 6th District annual Art Competition.

Malana Kramer was chosen as the winner of the competition, according to Congressman Greg Pence (R-Columbus).

Kramer’s art, titled “The DayDreamer,” will hang in the U.S. Capitol building for one year.

Each spring, a nationwide high school arts competition is sponsored by the Congressional Institute to recognize and encourage artistic talent throughout the nation.

“I want to thank all our smart and accomplished Hoosier students who participated in this year’s Art Competition,” Pence said. “These students’ art is nothing short of amazing and their artistic ability is astounding. I wish each of these talented young artists continued success in their development at schools across the Sixth District.”
