(Greensburg, IN) – Several people were arrested recently following an investigation by troopers with the Indiana State Police-Versailles Post into the distribution of methamphetamine in Decatur County and the surrounding area.
Troopers and Greensburg Police Officers responded to an apartment on East Street on November 23 after receiving reports of criminal activity taking place.
During the investigation, a search warrant was served at the apartment and authorities allegedly located suspected methamphetamine, marijuana, prescription medications, and drug paraphernalia were located there.
ISP says the investigation indicated the occupants of the apartment were obtaining methamphetamine and then distributing it to hundreds of people in Decatur County and across Southeastern Indiana.
Fifty-three-year-old Ronald Lawrence of Greensburg was arrested and charged with Dealing Methamphetamine, Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Controlled Substance, and Possession of a Legend Drug.
Forty-seven-year-old Deanna Embree was arrested on charges of Maintaining a Common Nuisance, Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
The case was presented to the Decatur County Prosecutor’s Office which resulted in 48-year-old Jaime Huffman and 45-year-old Rea Frazier being charged with Visiting a Common Nuisance as a result of the initial investigation.
ISP says troopers at the Versailles Post will continue pursuing those involved in drug distribution in local communities.
