Greensburg man arrested after domestic altercation

GREENSBURG, Ind. — A Greensburg man was arrested after a domestic altercation.

According to police, Christopher J. McCarter, 32, was arrested on charges of Criminal Confinement, Resisting Law Enforcement, and Disorderly Conduct.

Police say they were called to his home after a woman called 911 stating that McCarter refused to allow her and two children to leave.

She also stated that McCarter had slashed the tires of her car.

The woman told police that he held a 10-inch knife to her throat after an argument.

When McCarter was arrested, a portable breath test was administered, which read his blood alcohol level at .41.

McCarter was transported to the Decatur County Memorial Hospital for evaluation, where police say he had to be restrained to protect hospital staff and to prevent him from trying to get away from the officer.
