Greensburg JH Cross Country Traveled to the Jennings County Invitational

The Greensburg Junior High School Cross Country teams traveled to Muscatatuck Park in North Vernon to compete in the Jennings County Panther Invitational. The Lady Pirates were crowned the Girls Team Champions as they defeated 9 other schools. The Boys team placed 5th out of 10 teams.

Individual Invite Champion, Madeline Risher, led the entire race of 45 girls through Muscatatuck’s course. This is Madeline’s 5th individual championship this season. Joining Madeline on the Awards Podium included Invitational Runner-Up Champion, Eleanor Davis, 5th place finisher Maria Scholle, and 8th place Lulu Webb. Noelle Kern placed 5th in the JV race.

Jackson Tekulve was the first finisher for the boys’ team with an award-winning position of 4th place out of 65 competitors. Jack Gindling joined Tekulve on the awards podium with a 14th-place finish. The Pirates will compete again next Saturday in the Brown County Eagle Classic.
