(Greensburg, IN) -Greensburg City Council voted last night to include eight recently annexed parcels of land in the city’s Economic Revitalization Area (ERA).
“Technically, back in 2018, there was a resolution that was passed that established all of the city limits of Greensburg as an Economic Revitalization Area,” said Bryan Robbins with the Greensburg/Decatur County Economic Development Corporation. “We’re just going to further establish that the new annexed areas in our Business Enterprise Park qualify as an economic revitalization era.”
Robbins says an ERA allows the city to provide incentives for future development.
“We give abatements and incentives throughout the City of Greensburg and this will help us establish that that area is also qualified,” he added.
The city’s Business Enterprise Park is located north of I-74 opposite Honda’s Indiana Auto Plant.
