Graden Johnson, 77, Moores Hill

Graden Johnson, 77, of Moores Hill passed away Wednesday, July 10, 2024, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Edgewood, Kentucky. Graden was born on Monday, January 27, 1947, in Pippa Pass, Kentucky; son of Milford and Irene (Childers) Johnson. Graden married the love of his life, Brenda (Benge) Johnson on June 17, 1966 in Detroit, Michigan. He was a graduate of Milan High School in the class of 1965. He then went on to serve in the United States Army from 1966-1967. He was proud to be a skilled trades electrician for Chrysler Corporation and served as UAW Committeeman for 20 of his 37 years of work. Graden attended Hope Baptist Church and was a member of the Milan American Legion Post #235. After retirement he enjoyed gardening, reading his bible, and tinkering in his barns. Graden loved to visit with his family, always enjoying time spent with his grandkids and his great grandbabies. Most of all, Graden cherishing spending time and going out to dinner with his loving, beautiful wife.

Graden will be missed by his wife Brenda Johnson of Moores Hill; daughter Tammy (Lonnie) Feller of Brookville; son Don (Jennie) Johnson of Attica, Michigan; brother Rex (Trudy) Johnson of Batesville; sisters Geral (Hershel) Eldridge of Milan; Sandra Johnson of Milan; sister-in-law Gail Johnson of Milan; brother-in-law Scott (Jeannette) Benge of the Netherlands; grandchildren Nolan (Lauren) Feller of Brookville, Natalie (Caleb) Crowe of Connersville, Donny (Fran) Johnson of Attica, Dylan (Kailee) Johnson of Attica, and Kate Johnson of Attica; step-grandchildren Brett (Melody) Feller of Fort Riley, Kansas and Nick (Rachel) Feller of Greensburg; and great-grandchildren Waylon Gribben, Jemma Crowe, and Violet Johnson; 11 step-grandchildren; 2 aunts; and many nieces and nephews.

Graden was preceded in death by his parents Milford and Irene Johnson; brothers Paul Johnson and Dickie Johnson; sister Brenda Thomas; brothers-in-law Larry Thomas and Larry Benge; sister-in-law Mary Johnson; in-laws Wayne and Golda Benge; and great-grandson Sawyer Gribben.

Family and friends may gather in remembering Graden from 11:00 AM-1:00 PM, Friday, July 12, 2024, at Hope Baptist Church; 15593 US-50, Dillsboro, IN 47018. A service will follow at 1:00 PM, with Pastor Jeremiah Gabbard officiating. Burial will follow at New Craven Cemetery. Memorials may be given in honor of Graden to St Jude Children’s Hospital or Hope Baptist Church.
