Governor signs Sunday alcohol sales into law

Indianapolis, In. — For the first time since the 1930’s Hoosiers can purchase alcohol on Sunday. Governor Eric Holcomb signed the measure into law on Wednesday.

Senate Bill 1 allows the sale of alcohol on Sundays from noon to 8 p.m. Residents can purchase wine, beer and alcohol at outlets that elect to be open beginning Sunday, March 4.

“Now when you do your shopping on Sunday,” Holcomb said, “all the aisles will be open to you if you want to make a pit stop before the tailgate.”
