Governor set to sign Sunday alcohol sales bill Wednesday

Indianapolis, In. — Indiana governor Eric Holcomb will spill ink today that reverses the law of the last 80 years. Holcomb is scheduled to sign the bill that will allow the sale of alcohol on Sundays from noon to 8 p.m. The bill will be signed at 1:30 p.m. and will go into effect immediately. Sunday sales will begin on March 4.

Two days after the measure passed in the House of Representatives the Senate passed the bill by a vote of 38-10.

Liquor stores and other retail outlets have been adjusting schedules, training workers and making preparations for the change.
