Gladys Louise Rief, age 92, of Brookville, Indiana died late Saturday, February 10, 2024 at the Brookville Healthcare Center in Brookville.
Born February 2, 1932 in Franklin County, Indiana she was one of eight children born to the late Fred & Viola (Meyers) Rief. She remained a lifelong resident of Franklin County.
Gladys worked for many years at the former Hearthstone Restaurant in Metamora, and had also cleaned homes.
She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Brookville. In her leisure time she enjoyed reading.
Survivors include her former neighbors and dear friends, Kevin & Beth Waltz of Brookville.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Dora Rief & Edna Holman; five brothers, Clifford Rief, Charles Rief, George Rief, Percil Rief, and Walter Rief.
Pastor Kevin Waltz of Emmanuel Baptist Church, will officiate the Graveside Service on Thursday, February 15, 2024, 4:00 P.M., at Big Cedar Cemetery.
