Greensburg Junior High and Batesville Middle School split in volleyball Tuesday evening at the Dawg Pound.
It was the Pirates over Bulldogs in two sets (25-2, 25-14) in the 7th grade match.
Top servers for BMS were Aubrey Kruthaupt with 4 points, including two aces. Adding one point each were Lucy Bailie, Brenna McCleary, and Cora Koehne.
In the front row, Vivian Duty, Emily Volz, and Brenna McCleary each had a kill.
Batesville took the 8th match in two sets (25-14, 25-10).
Cali Oesterling led the way from the service line with 16 points overall, including six aces.
She was followed by Sydney Holtkamp and Emma Campbell, who each connected on nine of 10 serves for eight points, earning five and two aces, respectively.
Offensively, Hannah Bruns and Campbell both notched three kills in the front line. Zoe Bolser earned two kills, while Holtkamp and Oesterling each chipped in with one kill at the net.
Tori Meyer led the BMS in assists with five from her setting position.
