The following area girls tennis players were named All-District 8 by the Indiana High School Tennis Coaches Association.
In singles: East Central’s Heidi Kane and Peyton Pies, Oldenburg’s Isabel Price and Lawrenceburg’s Elle McMullen. In doubles: the Twisters Mimi Wilder and Evelyn Storms.
Also from Oldenburg, Alyssa Wanstrath and Emma Back earned Girls Tennis Academic All-State honors.
And the area teams of East Central, Franklin County, Greensburg, Lawrenceburg, Oldenburg, Rushville, Southwestern Shelby and Waldron earned Team Academic All-State.
