The following are girls junior high basketball recaps from Thursday, February 17.
The Batesville seventh grade bested South Dearborn 41-15.
Sydney Campbell and Ella King scored nine points each. Mimi Smith followed with eight.
The eighth grade Bulldogs fell to the Squires 23-12. It was a very good defensive and rebounding effort as the team amassed seven steals and 14 offensive boards, but the team struggled to score the ball.
In the loss for BMS, Grace Walter had eight points.
The North Decatur seventh soundly defeated St. Mary 33-8.
Sophie Rohls had 12 points to lead ND. Sarah Moeller followed with nine.
The eighth grade game was closer but it was still a comfortable win for the Chargers over St. M 35-22.
Jo Whitaker headlined the ND scoring with 19.
