Gilbert Francis Fluegeman, age 89 of Batesville, IN passed away Monday, January 25, 2016 in Batesville. Born September 17, 1926 in Cincinnati, OH he was the son of John & Alma (Ossege) Fluegeman.
Gilbert graduated from Rodger Bacon High School in 1944, was a US Navy WWII Veteran serving on the USS Hancock CV19 and retired from GE in Evendale as a supervisor. He was a member of St. Louis Catholic Church in Batesville.
Gilbert is survived by his children Ken (Margie) Fluegeman, Doug Fluegeman, Debbie Rothermel, Chris (Rick) Denton, Sharon (Charley) Mahoney & Therese Graves, 17 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Clara Inge (Schoene) Fluegeman, sons David & Michael Fluegeman & daughter Janine Fluegeman.
Mass of Christian Burial was held Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at St. Louis Catholic Church with burial in St. Louis Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the Right to Life c/o Meyers Funeral Home. www.meyersfuneralhomes.com
