(Greensburg, IN) – Saturday marked the end of an era and the beginning of a new one when the Greensburg Fire Department moved out of Fire Station One on North Ireland Street and into its new headquarters on Barachel Lane.

Firefighters had been housed at the Ireland Street station since February 3, 1975.

“We are beyond excited to finally move into our new station and continue to serve our community,” the department wrote on Facebook.

An open house complete with tours and refreshments will be held at the new fire station – and the street department building – this Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
