George “Jimmy” Donk

George “Jimmy” Henry Donk, 82, of Moores Hill, Indiana, passed away Saturday, March 19, 2022, in Edgewood, Kentucky.

He was born February 22, 1940, in Aurora, IN, son of the late Joseph “Pete” Donk and Hazel (Ruble) Donk.
He served his country as a member of the United States Navy.

George was an Aurora High School graduate. He was a member of the Vineyard Church and the Aurora American Legion. George worked for Seagram’s Distillery, retiring after over 49 years of service.

George enjoyed fishing, traveling, shopping, and going out to eat. He liked listening to sports on the radio, and in his younger days he enjoyed woodworking. George had a great sense of humor and loved spending time with family and friends.

George is survived by his sons, Tim (Kim), John (Debbie), Philip (Georgette), Joey (Chastity) Donk; step daughters, Jamie (Daryl) Gibbs and Jodi Battista. siblings, Billie Sue Walker and Terry (Sherri) Donk; sister in law, Rose Donk; 12 grandchildren, Morgan Henry (fiancé Joey Rowen), Sawyer and Hannah Donk, Jayden and Adisyn Donk, Trenton and Parker Donk, Sierra and Rylee Gardner, Ethan, Jared and Davis Battista and great-grandchildren, DeMarco Groves III., Kingston and Connor Rowen.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Pete and Hazel; his loving wife, Dianna; siblings, Joseph “Petie” Donk, Dona Robinson, Gilbert “Buddy” Donk, Avis “Tiny” Rivera and Eleanor Kleine.

Friends will be received Friday, March 25, 2022 from 11:00 am-2:00 pm at Rullman Hunger Funeral Home, 219 Mechanic Street, Aurora, Indiana 47001.

Services will be held at 2:00 pm at the funeral home with Pastor David Hall officiating.

Interment will follow in the River View Cemetery, Aurora, Indiana. Military graveside services will be conducted by the Southeastern Indiana Honor Guard.
