“Gator” Retires From Dearborn County Sheriff’s Office

(Lawrenceburg, IN) – The man known as “Gator” is hanging up his badge.

Captain Gaylord “Gator” Hartsburg is retiring after more than 33 years of service with the Dearborn County Sheriff’s Office.

Hartsburg worked his way up the ranks from Merit Deputy to District Commander, Sergeant and then Captain.

“Although he will be missed, we wish him the best in his retirement,” reads a statement from the Sheriff’s Office.
