(Oldenburg, IN) – A gas leak at the Sisters of St. Francis Motherhouse in Oldenburg on Tuesday forced the evacuation of the building for a while.
Firefighters from Oldenburg and Batesville quickly responded to the scene, along with gas company workers who checked in the source and capped off the leak.
The sisters were safely evacuated and returned to the Motherhouse in time for Mass once the all clear was signaled.
There were no injuries reported.
