Gary J. Singleton, 63, of Osgood passed away at 3am, Monday, February 22, 2021 at the Margaret Mary Community Hospital in Batesville. He was born in Seymour on April 7, 1957 the son of Luther and Mary Arrowood Singleton. Survivors include three sisters Sandra Biehle of Commiskey, Connie (Norman) Kappes of Osgood, and Pat Schneider of Batesville. He was preceded in death by his parents, his son John Paul Ackerman, his brothers James, Paul, Allan, and Bill Singleton, and his sister Delores Wright. Gary attended school at Holton, spent several years in Florida, and had also lived in North Vernon. He was a former employee of the Jefferson Proving Ground and Banner Distribution. The past several years he was employed at Schneider’s Scrap Metal in Osgood. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 24th at 11am at the Stratton-Karsteter Funeral Home in Versailles. Visitation will also be on Wednesday beginning at 10am. Memorials may be given to the Osgood Food Pantry in care of the funeral home.
