Fundraiser ongoing for teen injured in ORV accident

Dillsboro, IN — A GoFund Me page has been set up for a 13-year-old boy that was injured in an ORV accident last weekend in Dillsboro. The accident occurred on Friday, April 9 at his home on East County Road 450 South in Ripley County.

The 13-year-old operator of the ORV lost control after making contact with another rider’s dirt bike. His ORV then collided with a tree, causing the ORV operator to be thrown from his machine.
He was transported by ambulance to Saint Elizabeth Hospital in Lawrenceburg due to inclement weather and later airlifted to the Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center where he has been in ICU since the accident.

The family knows that each day in the hospital means mounting hospital bills. The fundraiser is to help with medical expenses that have occurred. According to the page, the South Ripley Jr. High Student’s injuries are extensive and he has a long road to recovery. Click here for a link to the fundraiser page.
