(Lawrenceburg, IN) – Pat Myers has been formally sworn in as the new fire chief of the Lawrenceburg Fire Department, assuming leadership of the department following a long-planned transition.
Myers brings 30 years of experience within the Lawrenceburg Fire Department, having advanced through the ranks over the course of his career. His service includes time as a lieutenant, captain, assistant chief and deputy chief, roles that positioned him for the department’s top post.
He succeeds Johnnie Tremain, who retired earlier this month after a 39-year career with the department. Myers worked closely with Tremain for the past decade as second-in-command and completed an extended job-shadowing period prior to the change in leadership to ensure continuity within the department.
Myers was sworn in Saturday by Lawrenceburg Mayor Kelly Mollaun.
As fire chief, Myers now oversees fire protection and emergency response operations for the City of Lawrenceburg, continuing a leadership structure shaped by decades of internal promotion and experience.
For non-emergency matters, the Lawrenceburg Fire Department can be reached at 812-537-1509. Emergency calls should be directed to 911.
