Free Museums in Indy

INDIANAPOLIS — A popular free perk for Bank of America customers is returning for the first full weekend of January, opening the doors to several Indianapolis-area cultural attractions at no cost for eligible cardholders.

Bank of America’s long-running “Museums on Us” program offers free general admission on the first full weekend of every month to participating institutions across the country. The next eligible weekend falls on Saturday and Sunday, Jan. 3–4, 2026.

In central Indiana, participating sites for that weekend include Conner Prairie, the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Museum, and the Indianapolis Museum of Art at Newfields, giving visitors a range of history, art and motorsports experiences without an admission charge.

To take advantage of the offer, visitors must present an active Bank of America, Merrill, or Bank of America Private Bank credit or debit card along with a valid photo ID at the admissions desk. The benefit covers one free general admission ticket for the cardholder.

The free admission typically applies only to general admission and may not include special exhibitions, premium experiences or ticketed events, which vary by location. Visitors are encouraged to check directly with each venue for details.

The January weekend also comes at a notable time for race fans, as the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Museum recently reopened following a major renovation that added updated exhibits and interactive displays.

A complete and up-to-date list of participating museums is available through Bank of America’s Museums on Us program.
