Free Fishing Days Set for 2026

(Statewide) – The Indiana Department of Natural Resources (DNR) has announced Free Fishing Days for 2026.

The first one is set for May 10.

On Free Fishing Days, Indiana residents do not need a fishing license or a trout/salmon stamp to cast a line on the state’s public waters.

All other rules, such as seasons, bag and size limits apply.

This year’s other Free Fishing Days are on June 6 and 7 and September 26.

DNR says these present an excellent opportunity to learn how to fish, take your family fishing, or introduce a friend to fishing.
