Fred L. Jacobs, age 74 of W. Harrison, IN passed away Thursday, April 21, 2016 at The Waters of Batesville. Fred was born on October 6, 1941 in Corbin, KY and was the son of Fred & Mildred (Feltz) Jacobs.
Fred married Jacquelyn Burdette, attended the Rockdale United Methodist Church and worked in shipping for Gold Medal Products where they made concession equipment.
Fred is survived by his wife Jacquelyn Jacobs, daughter Shanna Joseph of Osgood, IN and son Steve Jacobs of Milan, IN. He will also be missed by his 6 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and siblings Sheila Stevens, Ray Jacobs, Larry Jacobs, Ron Jacobs, Sherri Jacobs, & Sandy Duncan. He was preceded in death by 1 grandchild, 1 great grandchild and his brothers Jim & Terry Jacobs.
Fred’s wishes were to be cremated. A Celebration of Life Services will be held Sunday, May 1, 2016 from 3-4pm followed by a light dinner from 4-5pm all at Rockdale United Methodist Church, 1195 Johnson Fork Rd., W. Harrison, IN 47060.
