Franklin “Frank” Omar Bravard, age 80 of Batesville, Indiana, passed away on Friday, November 15, 2024, at home with his family by his side. He was born on July 22nd, 1944, in Augusta, Kentucky, the son of Benjamin and Helen (Boettger) Bravard. He married Charlene Lunsford on October 5th, 1984, in Westchester, Ohio. Frank served his country in the United States Army Corps of Engineers during the Vietnam War and was a member of the American Legion Post 209 in Moores Hill, Indiana.
He is survived by his wife Charlene Bravard of Batesville; stepsons David (Melody) Werner of Cincinnati, Ohio, Charlie (Cathy) Werner of Westchester, Ohio, and Wayne (Michelle) Werner of South Lebanon, Ohio; stepdaughter Cara (Bruce) Carnes of Alameda, California; sister Karen (Gordon) Johnson of Fredericktown, Ohio; and eleven grandchildren plus numerous nieces and nephews. Frank was preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin and Helen Bravard.
Visitation is Tuesday, November 26, 2024, from 9:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at St. Mary on the Rock Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 12:00 p.m. immediately following with Fr. John Barker OFM officiating. The burial will immediately follow at the church cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Margaret Mary Health Hospice.
