In EIAC volleyball from Wednesday, Franklin County won its first game against Connersville 25-19 but the Spartans rallied to win the next three: 25-9, 25-21 and 25-19.
“We may have lost to EIAC Connersville, but we came out as a team and played great ball together,” exclaimed Franklin County coach Jill Mergenthal. “The Wildcats were hitting, blocking and digging everything Connerville was giving us.”

The Franklin County JV also won its first set, 25-18, but saw the Connersville reserves win the next two games 25-15 and 16-14.
“It was a good defense game; however, one little mistake turned into many,” said FC JV coach Tana Stang. “We need to learn how to fix these mistakes quickly, so we can continue to play our competitive game. We are young and still learning.”
