Franklin County joins region as Orange status

Southeastern, IN — Franklin County has moved to Orange status this week on the state’s color-coded Covid-19 metric map joining Ripley, Decatur, and Dearborn County. There are now 29 counties that have moved to Yellow status and 4 that are still in the Red status.

For counties that have changed, they must maintain the new or better status for a 2-week period before restrictions can be updated.

o 7-day positivity rate – 8.75%- down from 8.83%the previous week
o Weekly cases per 100,000 people – 314 – up from 243 the previous week
• Franklin County
o 7-day positivity rate – 14.65% – down from 15.84% the previous week
o Weekly cases per 100,000 people -184 – down from 246 the previous week
• Decatur County
o 7-day positivity rate – 7.47% – up from 6.89% the previous week
o Weekly cases per 100,000 people – 210 – down from 259 the previous week
• Dearborn County
o 7-day positivity rate – 13.11% – down from 14.19% the previous week
o Weekly cases per 100,000 people – 394 – down from 513 the previous week
