Franklin County first responders have a busy Monday afternoon, evening

FRANKLIN COUNTY, IN — Franklin County first responders had a busy start to the week.

Firefighters from a couple of departments in the county were called to brush fires Monday afternoon.

The Laurel Fire Department was dispatched to the 23,000 block of Kokomo Hill Road for what was called a small field fire shortly after 1 pm.

Just over an hour later, Blooming Grove firefighters were sent to a field fire along McGuire Ridge Road.

At least one person was injured when they laid down their motorcycle on State Road 101 at Fairfield Causeway Road around 6:00 last night.

Police, the Blooming Grove Fire Department, and Franklin County EMS responded.

The Blooming Grove Fire Department was called out again just after 6 pm, along with police and Franklin County EMS, to State Road 101 and Fairfield Causeway Road for a motorcycle accident with injuries.

There’s no word on how many were hurt or the severity of injuries following that crash.
