Brookville, Ind. — Several honors were handed out at the recent Franklin County FFA Banquet.
Lori Kolb was named an honorary FFA member. Shelby Kolb earned the DEKALB Award and Andrew Herrmann was presented with the Bradley T. Hofer Award.
Ludwig Contracting, MBC Group, Mr. Gary Bradburn, Mrs. Linda Ball, Mrs. Beth Chaddon, Mrs. Laura Frondorf, and Mrs. Marilyn Roberts were given the FFA Appreciation Award.
There were 48 Greenhand Degree recipients this year, Peter Volk received the Star Greenhand Award. Twelve Chapter Degrees were awarded this year, Abrem Losekamp receiving the Star Chapter Member Award.
This year there were four Hoosier Degree recipients. Ben Ball, Grace Moster, Sam Ludwig, and Luke Stirn will be receiving their Hoosier Degree at State Convention this summer. Nate Frondorf received the Oustanding Member Award and Shelby Kolb received the Outstanding Leader Award.
After all of the awards were presented, the retiring of old officers and installation of new officers began. The retiring officers were: Shelby Kolb, President; Andrew Herrmann, Vice President; Grace Moster, Secretary; Ben Ball, Treasurer; Kayla Galyen, Reporter; Sam Ludwig, Sentinel; Sam Ludwig. The newly installed officers were: Grace Moster, President; Ben Ball and Kyle Seibert, Vice Presidents; Grayce Knapp, Secretary; Isaac Selm, Treasurer, Kayla Galyen, Reporter; Luke Stirn, Sentinel, Heather Stenger, Communications Manager; Nate Frondorf, Community Support Manager; Sara Weaver, Member Support Manager; Emily Wendel, Transportation Manager; Jenna Orschell and Austin Volk, Delegates.
After the old officers were retired and the new officers were installed, the banquet was closed and adjourned by the newly installed officers. We are all excited to see what the next school year will bring with the help of the new officers and the Advisors, Mrs. Schneider and Ms. Stewart.
